Some very great tips here. Techniques that i use daily. Subtractive EQ is essential to carve your mixes. it is the best practical example of the phrase “less is more”

an every day example I is use to help understand this technique is this. if you are in the shower and the water is too cold. do you turn up the hot? or turn down the cold? both yield the same result in that the water will get hotter. the difference being in your utility bill. one will cost and consume more while the other will cost and consume less. the end result is the same. you get that steamy hot shower or great sounding mix. but one taxes you alot less. haha
now think of your utility bill as your cpu usage, your headroom and your sonic landscape. it’s obvious less is a great way to get more!

Keep up the great work Mr. Dez.
